I kept thinking during the last debate how good it would have been to have Cruz on stage. The leftist media made sure Trump would be the nominee, and now they are digging up every detail of his background from DECADES ago, anything to slander him. The Republicans have been played like a cheap fiddle. How else would someone like Hillary, one of the most despised people on this planet, have a chance?

Yep, we have been "Clinton-ed", but the fat lady hasn't sung.  As Lee Atwater said, "I'll strip the bark off that little bastard".  We'll see how it happens.

I'm with Tony on this one. Nobody really likes Hillary, so how is it in a country of 300 million people we could find the only jackass she could beat...John

So, we have a choice between a jackass and an old nasty gutter monkey.  I'll take someone that has actually made a living.   Wink

This campaign seems like two people fighting for the controls of the plane, just so THEY can be the one who crashes it into the ground.

The important question is, how did we get to this point?

That's one of the reasons and there is something that caused it.  In simple term, it's the public's appetite for the low level human traits.  How did it come to be?  The answer won't be simple but certainly debatable.
