Which forum is it?

It is not Steve Hoffman, Decware, Audio Karma, Transcendent Sound nor the Antique Radio Museum.   Wink

Yes.  Just make kindness rain.  The truth has been revealed.  Grin

Oh well, I started this whole mess at "this other place" (edit be me, Henry Smiley ) by simply replying a to post from a well meaning guy looking for a Heil driver in a speaker costing less than $2000.  I mentioned that Ricky at ESS and that Ed make speakers with that driver that are within his price constraints.  Then, this "idiot" ( edit Smiley ) guy slandered Edward and his family for no reason.

I'm confused why some people want to punish others.  It makes no sense and serves no purpose other than revealing their character flaws.

***** edit by me, Guys, he did do what Henry said and then I "took care of it" and had fun doing so.  Thank you Henry. I figured it best not to name names, yet.....I'm still "doing my magic" Smiley

I saved the whole mess and it is glorious! I may post it here so you guys can get a laugh out of a train wreck......and a lying fool put in his place! It was easy Smiley

I googled pics of the Silvertone record player. Reminds me,
my means to destroy records as a kid was a Philips Record Player. Suitcase shaped, covered
with ugly pinkish-red plastic foil, stereo (!) speakers on the sides , "crystal" needle, tracking force
enough to grind out the groove in no time….

Hey, Peter, I think we had the same journey with different colors.  Grin  Mine was a heavy fiberglassed turquoise monster.  No outboard speakers, just the internal ovals.  Stereophonic at its best and just good enough to escape for a few hours.

It's always cool to think that we are so similar, albeit a few thousand miles apart.  Carry on and enjoy.  Cool

Hi pan53, I'm happy that you hear what I hear.  Smiley

I'll be brief and just state that I'm an old guy and have been obsessed with music and audio since my mom let me destroy albums on an old Silvertone record player placed in the floor while my older sisters went to elementary school.  Damn, that's a run-on sentence.

Regardless. Ed fabricated a dream, and that's the Truth.

So, after he drove Chicago into the abyss, the all mighty-mighty, all-impotent Rahm Emanuel isn't running for reelection.  I'm sure he sleeps well at night because he's that deluded and ignorant.

Just take a look at Memorial Day, 8/06/18 or Labor Day in Chicago where the city never sleeps because it could cost your life.  The so-called "underserved" community continues to shoot and kill at alarming rates despite the stringent gun laws.  Of course, the victims' families will blame the gun.  They won't mention that the welfare enriched, able-bodied home boys are enabled by the culture created by flawed thought.

Yep, I'm going to invest in a five figure plastic extrusion device to make a five dollar pistol.  It defies logic and I like it because it whips up the media hacks.

Life continues to amuse even at my age and state.  Grin

I saw Kansas last Saturday at Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte.  Great venue as usual and great band.  The acoustics in this old girl have wowed me since childhood and I love it.  I could blather about how great the band played after so many substitutions, etc.  I'll just say it was impeccably done with sound, music and lighting.  Those LED cans suspended above are so cool in many ways.

Now some proof...

I just scored some front row center tickets for 12/15 at the Don Gibson Theater in Shelby NC.  Grin

It should be a fine time as their live performances are always great and the venue is a favorite.  I'll follow up after the show.

Edit... I forgot to say that I've gotten very good tickets for Kansas at the Charlotte Auditorium on 8/15.  Another great venue!

I've been on a live binge lately, getting out more is good.  Cool

Steve, while the stereo version is rated to work with four ohms, the monos are listed as 8 or 16 ohms in the power chart at diyaudio.  So, I'm unsure about running the monos into a 4 ohm load.  I'll "axe" them about that.  Smiley

I've been running the Model 2's in series since adding the Heils for approximately a 15.5 ohm load.  I'll probably stick with that because changing to parallel would require changing the crossover parts.  Also, the load may drop a bit lower than 4 ohms?

Ω   Ch.   Config.   Conn.   Supply   Power
4   2   Single-ended stereo   RCA   19V   5W
4   2   Single-ended stereo   RCA   24V   5W
8   2   Single-ended stereo   RCA   19V   5W
8   2   Single-ended stereo   RCA   24V   8W

8   1   Balanced monoblock   XLR   19V   15W
8   1   Balanced monoblock   XLR   24V   15W
16   1   Balanced monoblock   XLR   19V   10W

Yep Steve, I think they will be cool.  With the 24v power supply, they should make 15 watts/channel into 8 or 16 ohms.  I like what a pp EL34/KT77 tube amp (35 watts/channel) does with the Horns.  I hope this makes the ACA even better...

I have the first enclosure from diyaudio and it looks great.  The parts should be shipped next week.  The second ACA kit should be shipped in mid-Sept.

I'm doing two to make monoblocks, doubling the power can't be a bad thing.  Of course, the Horns can run plenty loud on one ACA.

Sometimes I just can't stop myself.  Sad

ACA kits (batch#2) are available for preorder for the next two days.  It seems they are still in very high demand.   Smiley
