The little I have experienced using the Modi is positive, it seems to be a little more relaxed sounding that the Onkyo built in dac.
In such comparison, the levels need to be matched if objective result is desired.

She's 50?  I'll give her credit for staying in such shape.
3  General Category / The Truth Pre Amp / Re: amp for the truth preamp on: November 22, 2017, 09:56:47 AM
i am reluctant to try another behringer product..
It was just one example of amp that's stable at low impedance.  There are many others, some expensive, some cheap.  Just make sure it can handle 3 Ohm impedance since your speakers have somewhat of high current demand in the upper bass to mid frequency region which our hearing is very sensitive to.

i am reading about the benchmark nhb2..any experiences with it? maybe too expensive for me
Benchmark is overpriced audio jewelry, meaning that it's for the looks and bragging rights.  You won't be getting better audible sound.

Your Audio Physic Virgo speakers are rather power (amperage) hungry speakers.  Your late Gryphon Callisto has good specs in terms of low impedance output.  Amp you want is something that's stable at low impedance.  Commercial amps (AKA PA amp) may be what you want to look into.  Some of them are passive cooling (no fan) so it can work well in home audio setting.  Also, those PA amps are not as expensive as audio jewelries like Benchmark.  Bhringer A500 is one example.

Since his mouth doesn't move when he "talks", it's easy for someone with certain agenda to put words in his mouth.  The left is getting desperate about this global warming scam and grasping at straws.  It's a scare tactic, nothing more.

It's been confirmed in lab tests that plants grow faster when there is more carbon dioxide in the air.  I've read that in 2007.

So, some tree hugging environmentalists are trying to reduce carbon dioxide?  WTF?   Shocked Roll Eyes

Hi Ed; I love you like a brother as well, but I am not sure who drank the 'kool aid' here.

Keep in mind., I don't listen to the American Kool Aid News, but to several other international news from all around the world.

But in the end I think we just have to agree to disagree.
Trump administration pulling out of Paris Accord was not because US wants to raise or lower the global temperature (we cannot, even if we try to) but it's because of the agreements proposed is bogus as explained by Ed.  They (Paris Accord) want to siphon money off of US and that has been the main goal of this Climate Change scam formerly known as Global Warming.  Globe warms and cools naturally and has been doing so even before humans existed.  And no, the hurricanes have not increased in numbers or the intensity since the 50's.  It used to be more severe.  1998 was the warmest year in recent history, not 2015 or 2016.

Why is it a scam?  Here is why, I'm sure you've heard of 97% of scientists agree that the warming of global temperature will result in catastrophe.  That 97% turned out to be 97% of 1/3 of those scientists they surveyed (2000 or so).  So, it's 32% of scientists surveyed that agreed to a question that was vaguely worded.

You can look those up if you don't believe me.

How can anyone fall for this?

The depth of audiophoolery runs very deep.  You'll be shocked if you ever get to see even the halfway point.

I finally drove my riding mower near the entrance to his burrow and hooked one end of metal dryer duct to the exhaust and the other end down the hole.
Did it work?
